The Republic of Burkina Faso, located in West Africa, in the south of the Sahara, has common borders with six countries, Mali in north, Niger in the east, the Benign one in south-east, Togo and Ghana in the south and the Ivory Coast in south-west. Until 1984, the country drew its name from the Upper Volta of the three rivers which crosses it, Volta Noire, Volta Blanche and Volta Rouge. Its current name means “Just Fatherland” in languages mooré and bamanankan.
Geography: Burkina Faso mainly presents a landscape of plain of plate, slightly undulating, strewn that and there with small mountainous peaks. The town of Sore-Dioulasso is in the east of the country and plays a very important part in the economy of the country because of its important agricultural production.
